Though RoboCup 2022 has come to an end, the story of Pepper and its participants continues...
At the RoboCup@Home Education competition this time, one team in particular caught everyone's attention! Unlike the usual school-based teams, the SeaSky team from Thailand consisted of three members, a father and his two children.
During the pandemic, they initially learned about and studied the Pepper robot through online courses; after qualifying for the competition, they participated in offline training organized by SoftBank Robotics in Thailand, gaining a deeper understanding and experience with Pepper.

In post-event interviews, the team members also mentioned that their first encounter with Pepper, finding it very cute, motivated them to further learn programming and engage with Pepper. Despite encountering numerous issues during the tuning process, SeaSky participated fully in the three-day competition and ultimately received the Best Performance Award at the RoboCup@Home Education ON-SITE Challenge.

Through communication, the young team members expressed that Pepper was very easy to get started with and allowed them to delve into principles and the core of programming, enabling them to better handle complex tasks. Let's take a look at their competition experience.
