On the second day of the competition, as the matches enter a critical phase, let's first review the highlights from the first day of the tournament.
As the RoboCup@Home Standard Platform League enters its second day, the competition intensifies, with each team striving to climb higher on the scoreboard.
In the morning, the participating teams competed in the Tidy Up event, which primarily tests the intelligent robot's abilities in object recognition, motion control, and human-robot interaction. In this event, the robots are required to identify and categorize different items and place them in the correct locations according to the rules.

On site, Pepper robots' lively and endearing image has also won the affection of the audience, earning them the title of undisputed crowd favorite.


In the afternoon's Receptionist event, Pepper robots took on the role of front desk receptionists, engaging in communication and interaction with humans, and guiding visitors to the correct locations. This event primarily tests technologies such as human-robot interaction, character recognition, and voice interaction.

By integrating various advanced technologies, Pepper is capable of performing complex tasks in various real-life scenarios and engaging in effective interaction with humans. Currently, Pepper robots are increasingly being applied in industries such as healthcare, education, and retail services, demonstrating their practicality and versatility in real-world environments.
Yesterday, 13 teams engaged in fierce competition in the group stage matches, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals. Today's quarterfinal matches also follow a single round-robin points system, divided into Group M and Group N for the competition. The first-place teams from each group directly advance to the semifinals, while the second and third-place teams will compete in a cross-elimination format to vie for a spot in the semifinals. Teams that did not make it to the quarterfinals will participate in the Group Z points match to compete for rankings 9-13.
The second day of the tournament saw an escalation in the intensity of the matches, with each team showcasing unprecedented competitive form and teamwork. As the competition progresses, the contest between strategies and technologies becomes more intense, with every team striving to reach the finals.
Players fiercely contested for ball possession on the field, goalkeepers bravely made saves, and the matches remained closely contested!

In today's points matches, the competition among the 13 teams was even more intense, as they all strived for advancement to tomorrow's semifinals:
Based on today's match results, Tongji University and Shanghai University of Sport will directly advance to tomorrow's semifinals, while University of Science and Technology Beijing and Wuhan University successfully made it to the semifinals through cross-elimination.
Tomorrow, starting at 9 AM, the semifinals will commence, with the third and fourth-place match scheduled for 11:30 AM, and the final match at 1:15 PM! We'll have to wait and see how the results unfold!
